Composting & Grasscycling Workshops

M.O.W.E.R. Program

Minimizing Organic Waste with Education and Recycling

The M.O.W.E.R. Program helps Folsom meet its recycling goals by reducing organic waste that may otherwise go to the landfill. Residents can sign up for one of the workshops to learn how to recycle yard waste through composting and grasscycling. At the end of each workshop, participants receive their choice of a compost bin at a discounted rate of $30 or a mulching lawnmower rebate offer of $25. All mowers must be bagless at the time of purchase.

Workshops last approximately one hour. MOWER Program bins and rebates are only available one per household, and participation is limited to Folsom residency.

Pre-registration is required. To sign up call 916-355-8359 or sign up online through the Parks and Recreation Department. To find the workshop, click "Browse Activities" and search for keyword "composting."
