The Folsom Senior Center presents a free screening of the film, “Alive Inside,” 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, January 24 at Folsom High School’s Jill Solberg Theater, 1655 Iron Point Road.
The film documents the amazing results of using music therapy to treat individuals with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The simple act of listening to the music of their youth revitalized and awakened the patients chronicled in the movie. The film won a Sundance Film Festival award in 2014.
To foster a better understanding of Alzheimer’s disease, all ages are invited to attend the free screening. Proceeds from fund-raising efforts at the event will be used to purchase “Alive Inside” headsets to donate to local low-income seniors. Reserve your free seat for the movie online or call 916-461-6601 for more information.
