Trespassing Enforcement Agreement

The Folsom Police Department offers local businesses the opportunity to sign and file an Authorization to Enforce Trespassing Agreement letter.  This agreement letter authorizes the Folsom Police Department to enforce trespassing laws during hours that the business aren’t open such as late night hours where criminal activity could be present.  Officers would be authorized to act on behalf of the business owner to protect their property and take enforcement action.

Key things to know about the Authorization to Enforce Trespassing Agreement:

  • Only Folsom business owners may sign this agreement letter.
  • The agreement letter is good for one year, but may be renewed.
  • The agreement letter is not transferable to any new property owners.

To participate in this program, please complete the Authorization to Enforce Trespassing Agreement(.pdf) and bring it to the Folsom Police Department with your identification. The form will need to be signed by an officer to begin the agreement.
