Rabies/Microchip Clinics: "Fourth Wednesday" rabies, microchip, and license clinics are held the fourth Wednesday of each month, except November and December at 403 Stafford Street (Upper Rodeo Grounds) between 6 and 8 pm. Please bring all dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. Rabies shots - $5, Microchips $20.
Animal Shelter Services: As of July 1, 2015 animal shelter services are provided by Sacramento SPCA. Sacramento SPCA is located at 6201 Florin Perkins Road, Sacramento 95828. The Sacramento SPCA is open Wednesday – Sunday 11AM – 6 PM (closed holidays) for adoptions, stray drop off and owner redemptions. If you have a lost or found pet, contact the City of Folsom Animal Services at 916-439-2268 or email@example.com, as Animal Services will make every effort to reunite pets with owners before transporting to the Sacramento SPCA. Owners wishing to surrender pets MUST receive approval from City of Folsom Animal Services prior to delivery to the SPCA.
Altered Pets - $15 per year, $40 for 3 years
Wildlife Services: If you find injured wildlife, please contact Wildlife Care at 916.965.WILD. The State Department of Fish Game wants to be notified if you spot large, potentially dangerous wildlife, such as mountain lion or bear. Contact Fish and Game 24 hour dispatch at 916.358.1312. Nuisance wildlife issues are handled by USDA Wildlife Services. You must call 916.875.6603, between 7:30 a.m to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday to arrange for trapping and removal of the nuisance wildlife.
