The City of Folsom regularly and proactively provides timely and relevant news and information to residents, businesses, prospective job creators, community organizations and the media.

The City of Folsom's Communication Office facilities media relations, social media, advertising, marketing, graphic design, and community relations that support all city departments and programs. The City of Folsom's public information platforms includes a bimonthly citywide newsletter, weekly e-newsletter, website, numerous social media outlets, videos, utility bill inserts and regular community presentations. In emergency situations, vital information needed to ensure public safety is coordinated and disseminated through the city's public information channels. Additionally, the Communications Office organizes and oversees Community Service Day, groundbreakings, and grand openings for city projects and facilities.
