The City of Folsom has a full range of household hazardous waste (HHW) and non-residential Universal Waste programs designed to make it easy for you to properly dispose of your hazardous waste. We hope that our website will make it easier to safely dispose of or avoid hazardous materials in your homes. You can learn about how our service works and even schedule service through these Web pages. Feel free to e-mail or call us with your comments about our Web information.
Our service recycles most types of HHW (such as motor oil, paint, stains, poisons, and TV sets) through individual appointments. Appointments are available for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
In addition to HHW disposal, your Hazardous Materials Division provides services to reduce the number of hypodermic needles in the waste stream (see Sharps Program) and a program to reduce the discharge of motor oil from boat bilges into Folsom Lake (see Clean Boating).
