The City of Folsom's Animal Services Division is managed by the City's Department of Administrative Services.  The animal servcies division is staffed with one officer, Cindy Walden.  Officer Walden works Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:30pm.  If you have animal issue during those hours, please call Officer Walden directly at 916.439.2268 or cwalden@folsom.ca.us.  After hours animal emergencies, that require immediate attention and cannot wait until the next business day, can be reported Folsom Police dispatch at 916.355.7231.

The Animal Services Division's "Fourth Wednesday" rabies, microchip, and license clinics are held the fourth Wednesday of each month, except November and December at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Please bring all dogs on a leash and cats in a carrier. Rabies shots - $5, Microchips $20. For additional information, please call 439.2268.

Animal Shelter Services: Animal shelter services are provided by Blue Ravine Animal Hospital.  Blue Ravine Animal Hospital is located at 421 Blue Ravine Rd, Suite 300, Folsom.  916.984.0990.  The shelter is open Monday - Friday 8am - 6pm, and Saturday's 8am - 5pm.  If you have a lost or found pet, contact the Blue Ravine Animal Hospital during their hours of operation, or call Officer Walden.

Wildlife Services:  If you find injured wildlife, please contact Wildlife Care at 916.965.WILD.  The State Department of Fish Game wants to be notified if you spot large, potentially dangerous wildlife, such as mountain lion or bear.  Contact Fish and Game 24 hour dispatch at 916.358.1312.  Nuisance wildlife issues are handled by USDA Wildlife Services.  You must call between 816.875.6603, 7:30 - 8:30am M-F to arrange for trapping and removal of the nuisance wildlife.
