Bruce Cline was named Folsom City Attorney in 2005, after serving as Assistant City Attorney for four years. Previously, he was a Supervising Deputy City Attorney for the City of Sacramento and was in private practice in Sacramento and Los Angeles. He was a police officer/sergeant for the City of Santa Monica prior to entering the legal profession.
Bruce obtained his Juris Doctorate from Southwest University School of Law in Los Angeles and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1987. He also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA. He is an Adjunct Professor at Folsom Lake College and a graduate of the Folsom Leadership Program. He is also a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and served on the Board of Directors from 1996 – 2000, including one term as president.
A 22-year resident of Folsom, Bruce and his wife Julie have four children, all of whom attended Folsom schools.
