David Miller, who has 38 years of experience as a professional planner, was named Folsom’s Community Development Director in 2007.  His department has responsibility for planning, engineering, housing and arborist duties.  

David’s professional experience includes serving as Executive Director of a municipal redevelopment agency, Director of Public Works and Development Manager for joint development projects for a major transportation agency.  He also has private commercial development experience.  

He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Design (Architecture) from the University of Washington and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.  He and his wife Susanne have four children and four grandchildren.
