"Safe and sane" fireworks will be sold starting at noon on June 28th, 2013 through July 4th, 2013. Sales will stop at 9 PM on the 4th of July, but fireworks may be discharged until midnight. For information more information regarding the City's firework ordinance, click here: FMC 9.36

Only fireworks classified by the California State Fire Marshal as "Safe and Sane", may be sold, possessed or discharged with in the City of Folsom. All other fireworks such as firecrackers, roman candles, aerial shells, bottle rockets, and similar are illegal in California. The minimum penalty for a violation of State Fireworks Law is a $1000 fine and/or six months in jail.
The Folsom Fire and Police Departments seized 16 pounds of dangerous fireworks on July 4, 2011 and violators of State Fireworks Law were cited.
