Consumer Scam Stopper Seminar

A representative from the Contractors State License Board will present information about scams relating to home repair, phone solicitations, insurance, Medicare, mail/foreign lottery fraud, and more.  Attendees will get answers to their questions and obtain assistance if they have been scammed.

The Library is pleased to host its fourth Naturalization Oath Ceremony performed for new citizens by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.  Please join us for this inspirational event and help welcome the new citizens!
Understanding Dyslexia

Dyslexia is the most common reading disability, affecting 15-20% of our population.  Identification and early intervention can dramatically change the course of a child's life.  Join Esther Romero from the Dyslexia Alliance for this in-depth presentation about the nature of dyslexia, research and causes, myths, symptoms, solutions, and accommodations.  This workshop is free, but registration is required.  Please call the Library at (916) 355-7357 during open hours to sign up.
How to Develop an Idea into a Business

U.S. Citizenship Workshop

The Library's Conversation Club is a fun, relaxed place for adults learning English to practice talking with native speakers. Join us to improve your English, learn about American culture, and meet new friends. Drop in for a chat; no registration is required and all levels are welcome. Evening and morning sessions are available - come to one or both in the Library Meeting Room!
