NEW! Family Fun Ride
Saturday, March 28 - 9 a.m.-noon
Join your neighbors, friends, and the community for a tour of Folsom's popular trail system guided by Jim Konopka, Trail Coordinator for the City of Folsom, and Jim Kirstein with the Friends of the Folsom Parkways.

The 17-mile ride is mostly flat and traverses many of the beautiful trails in and around the city. This ride is part of the national "Opening Day for Trails" program coordinated by the Rails-to-Trails Conservancy to promote and celebrate the benefits of community trails.

All ages are welcome; the ride is non-competitive. All riders must wear a helmet. Bring your own water/snacks as needed.

This event is free, but you must pre-register to participate.

Great Scott! (Road) Bike & Walk Event

Sunday, May 3 - 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

In support of regional "May is Bike Month," the City of Folsom and Sacramento County Dept. of Transportation are closing a section of Scott Road and segments of White Rock and Old Placerville roads.These road closures will provide bicyclists and pedestrians with an opportunity to ride and walk on roadways with no vehicle traffic.

Parking is available at the Palladio in Folsom (E. Bidwell between Iron Point Road and Broadstone Parkway) and at the Latrobe Road (south) end of Scott Road (see map below).  Bicyclists and pedestrians may enter the ride route at either end of Scott Road.

Note: No water is available on the route; please bring your own.  Portable restroom facilities will be available at three locations along Scott Road$0(see map below).

Celebrate Earth Day!
Join us for a day of community service to commemorate
Trails Day / Creek Week / Arbor Day / Earth Day
Saturday, April 18 - 9 a.m -noon
The Earth Day events are free, but you must be age 16 or older and pre-register to participate.

Trails Day - Join us for the 21st annual trails Day.  This year's event will be held at the Johnny Cash Trail.  Volunteers will work on trail improvements, plant native trees, and help install irrigation along the trail.  Volunteers receive a free commemorative Trails Day T-shirt and BBQ lunch.

Creek Week Celebration - Celebrate Regional Creek Week in conjunction with the annual Folsom Trails Day event.  Volunteers will help clean up portions of Humbug and Willow creeks and pick up litter along open space areas throughout the city.  Call (916) 454-4544 for Creek Week information.

May is Bike Month!
Join the City of Folsom for the 8th annual Ride with the Mayor event Thursday, May 14
Ride approximately 30 miles from Historic Folsom to the State Capitol in Downtown Sacramento. Enjoy free breakfast snacks and giveaways before the ride starts.
Meet at 7 a.m. at Karen's Bakery and Café, 705 Gold Lake Drive #340 (in Folsom's Historic District). Ride departs at 7:30 a.m.
