Bring your appetite ... bring your family ... bring your friends! Live music, bounce houses, and other activities weather permitting.November's Featured Food Trucks:
Drewski's Hot Rod Kitchen, BaconMania, Gameday Grill, Chando's Tacos, Cruzin' Crustacean, Green Papaya, Sweet Spot, and Smoothie Patrol.
Walk off your dinner with a stroll through the Zoo (open 4-7 p.m.; regular admission fees apply) or make the short trek over to The Gallery at 48 Natoma to take in the professional art exhibit "The Art of Ballet" (free admission).
The Folsom Public Library is also close by and open for browsing, homework, and reading (free admission).The Food Truck Safari continues year-round on the 3rd Wednesday of each month.Visit the zoo on the 2nd weekend each month for a little something extra special!
On the second Saturday (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Sunday (12-2 p.m.) of each month, docents will staff biofact stations in the zoo. You'll have the chance to touch and explore items like skulls, skeletons, fur, etc., and to see some of the outreach animals close-up. Our knowledgeable docents will answer your animal questions and teach you something new!
Docent Training to Volunteer at the Zoo
Class begins February 9, 2015
Do you like children and animals, want to make a difference, and have fun doing it? If you answered, “Yes!” then consider joining the docent team. We are training new docents to help host school tours and other ongoing zoo activities. At the conclusion of the training, there will be qualifying exams.
