Celebrate the magic of the season and help support the amazing animals at the Folsom Zoo Sanctuary!

Thousands of colorful lights illuminate the zoo's buildings, grounds, and animal exhibits, and lighted animal characters and decorations add charming touches. Santa visits each night to listen to holiday wishes, and zoo bear mascot Santa Paws is on hand to greet guests and pose for photo ops. Some of the zoo residents receive special treats during the event, and Zoo Docents answer questions and share fun stories and facts about the animals. Caroling groups and musicians fill the air with the cheery sounds of the season. Take a fun night ride on the "Starlight Express" miniature live steam train (tickets $4/person).

Admission: $5/person; ages 2 and under are free

Parking is FREE!

Save time! CLICK HERE to purchase Holiday Lights tickets online.

Visit the zoo on the 2nd weekend each month for a little something extra special!

On the second Saturday (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) and Sunday (12-2 p.m.) of each month, docents will staff biofact stations in the zoo.  You'll have the chance to touch and explore items like skulls, skeletons, fur, etc., and to see some of the outreach animals close-up.  Our knowledgeable docents will answer your animal questions and teach you something new!
