    Phone Plan-Contact Information

IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY WHERE LOCAL PHONE CONTACT IS NOT POSSIBLE, choose a friend or relative living out of state as a contact person that all family members would call to provide their "safe" status and where they may be. Keep their phone number with your Disaster Plan Supplies. This is done out of state because local phone access is usually jammed during a local emergency, i.e., earthquake.
