Street Sweeping Program
The City Public Works Department will continue to sweep about 420 curb miles of curbed streets.
The City will follow this prioritized schedule:
- Priority A: Arterials - Quarterly, year round, weather permitting
- Priority B: Collectors - Quarterly, year round, weather permitting
- Priority C: Residential - Upon approved request or special circumstance

Storm Drain Cleaning Program
The City operates and maintains and extensive storm drainage system, including 190 miles of pipe, 23 miles of natural drainage channels/creeks, 30 flood control and/or water quality detention basins and over 200 outfalls to creeks/rivers. The storm drain system is operated and maintained by the Public Works Streets Division. The storm drains are inspected and cleaned between May and October of each year.
