The Redevelopment & Housing Department is responsible for managing affordable housing and community redevelopment needs in the City of Folsom. Key programs of the Redevelopment & Housing Department include eliminating blight within the project area through incentives for economic stimulus, downtown revitalization, commercial rehabilitation, economic development and development of affordable housing and maintenance of existing affordable units within the City of Folsom. Redevelopment Citizens Advisory Committee
The Redevelopment Citizens Advisory Committee (RCAC) makes recommendations to the City Council (Agency Board) regarding issues and projects within the Redevelopment Project Area. Additionally, the RCAC is the loan committee for the various loan programs available through the Redevelopment Agency.

The Committee consists of 7 members appointed by the City Council. Each Committee member serves for the length of office of the Council Member that appointed him/her.
