In September 2008 City officials began development of a joint Environmental Impact Report (EIR) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the South of Highway 50 Specific Plan Project. The public was invited to attend a Notice of Preparation (NOP) public scoping meeting to learn more about the proposed project and its potential environmental impacts and to submit comments relating to the scope and content of the EIR/EIS.
