Volunteer for Trails Day, Arbor Day and Creek Week Events Saturday, April 9

Trails Day/Arbor Day Join community volunteers as we work to enhance Folsom's Johnny Cash Trail. Volunteers are needed to plant and stake 100 new native trees along the trail segment, and add mulch and irrigation around the plantings. All volunteers receive a free commemorative Trails Day T-shirt, lunch and beverages - plus the satisfaction of contributing to the community. The event is sponsored by the City of Folsom. The event is free, but you must pre-register to participate. Register online at http://webtrac.folsom.ca.us.

Creek Week Volunteers are needed to clean up sections of the Humbug and Willow Creeks, and pick up litter along the open space corridors. This event is sponsored by the Urban Creeks Council as part of the Regional Creek Week activities, in partnership with the City of Folsom. To register for Creek Week volunteer duty, call 916-454-4544 or visit www.creekweek.net.

Volunteers should wear work clothes and shoes, and bring a pair of work gloves. These events are free, but you must pre-register to participate!
