The City of Folsom’s General Municipal Election will be held on November 8, 2016. Registered voters in the City of Folsom will have the opportunity to elect two councilmembers to the five-member City Council, for a term of four years each. These two seats are currently held by incumbents Vice Mayor Jeff Starsky and Councilmember Ernie Sheldon. The remaining seats are occupied by Mayor Steve Miklos and Councilmembers Kerri Howell and Andy Morin.
The filing period for Folsom residents interested in running in the 2016 Folsom City Council election will be open Monday, July 18 and will continue through August 12. Only resident registered voters of the City of Folsom are eligible to run for the Folsom City Council.
Individuals interested in running for City Council can obtain official nomination papers and a candidate handbook in the City Clerk’s Office at Folsom City Hall, located at 50 Natoma Street in Folsom.
