Volunteers are needed from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, August 20, to help build the first of three bike/pedestrian bridges along the Lake Natoma Waterfront Trail. The new ¾-mile loop trail begins at the sidewalk along Gold Lake Drive in Folsom’s Historic District and continues along the shoreline of Lake Natoma.
The bridge building project is labor-intensive and requires volunteers with previous experience and carpentry, construction, or engineering skills. Due to the complexity of the project, volunteers must be 18 years or older. Register to volunteer at http://webtrac.folsom.ca.us and use activity code 371062-01 or call 916-355-7285 for more details.
