2011 Christmas Basket Project
Last year the project provided toys and food for 785 Folsom families, and even more families are expected to apply for help this year.
Applications to receive a food or toy basket will be available starting Nov. 25 at the Folsom Police Department (46 Natoma St.) and Twin Lakes Food Bank (327 Montrose Dr.)
Toy collections begin Nov. 25 and continue through Dec. 16. Drop off locations are the Folsom Police Department (46 Natoma St.), Main Folsom Fire Station (535 Glenn Dr.), Senior & Art Center (48 Natoma St.), City Hall (50 Natoma St.) and the Folsom Sports Complex (66 Clarksville Rd.).
Toys may also be dropped off at the toy collection truck at the Historic Sutter Street Christmas Tree Lighting on Dec. 2 and at the Annual Arts & Craft Fair on Dec. 3.
The big Toy Drive will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 10 at the Walmart Shopping Center. (Free photos with Santa for any toy donation.)
