Each year many local Neighborhood Watch groups celebrate National Night Out with a barbeque or potluck get-together. Folsom’s mayor, council members, Police Chief, City Manager and other City leaders stop by to show their appreciation for those who partner with Folsom Police to prevent crime.
“We have participated in National Night Out every year since 2000,” says Rosie Kracher, Folsom Police Volunteer Coordinator. “The nationwide program promotes involvement in crime prevention activities, police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. It also sends a message to criminals that neighbors are organized and alert.”
If your Neighborhood Watch group is planning a National Night Out celebration, contact Kracher no later than July 26 via email at email@example.com . “City leaders will do their best to stop by every gathering to say hello and thank participants.”
