Location and Directions

The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary is located at 403 Stafford Street, Folsom, CA 95630 (in Folsom City Lions Park, at Natoma and Stafford streets).

• From Highway 50 take the Folsom Blvd exit and turn left onto Folsom Blvd. Follow approximately three miles and turn right onto Natoma Street. Follow for a half mile and turn left onto Stafford Street. Take the first right into the parking lot; the Zoo Sanctuary is located adjacent to the parking lot.
• From I-80 take the Eureka exit; follow for one mile and turn left onto Douglas Blvd. Follow for approximately three miles and turn right onto Folsom/Auburn Road. Follow for approximately four miles and turn left at the traffic light onto Natoma Street. Follow for a half mile and turn left onto Stafford Street. Take the first right into the parking lot; the Zoo Sanctuary is located adjacent to the parking lot.

Hours

Note: *Veterans and active military personnel are invited to enjoy free admission November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. The zoo sanctuary is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please show ID at the ticket window to receive free admission.

• We are closed on Mondays to provide a day of rest for the animals (with the exception of special holiday hours).
• Please allow at least one hour for your visit. We do not offer reduced or free admission prior to closing time.
• All hours/days are weather permitting; schedule is subject to change.
• No pets are allowed in the City of Folsom facilities. Service animals are welcomed and permitted in accordance with the Americans for Disabilities Act (ADA). The full text of the ADA Service Animal Policy is available upon request by contacting City of Folsom Animal Services at 916-461-6040.

Admission

Zoo Gift Shop

Our gift shop is located inside the zoo and features a wide variety of unique gift items for all ages, including clothing, toys, plush animals and more! Proceeds help support the Zoo Sanctuary. Contact the Gift Shop at 916-351-3338.

Fisher's Beastro

Named after our beloved Black Bear Fisher, the Beastro offers a variety of tasty snacks, beverages, and lunch items. Proceeds help support the Zoo Sanctuary.

In the event you find the Beastro closed, drinks and snacks are available in the gift shop.

Folsom Valley Railway

The Folsom Valley Railway operates a miniature scale live steam train on a track that circles through City Lions Park. The open car round-trip ride lasts approximately 10 minutes. Purchase ride tickets and board the train at the depot outside the Zoo's main front gate; tickets are $3/person.
