This project broke ground in late June and creates Folsom’s first Class IV bike trail, for exclusive use by cyclists. The first phase of construction is nearing completion with a new sidewalk for pedestrians and a 12-foot-wide dedicated bike path in Folsom’s Historic District along Leidesdorff Street between Reading and Wool streets.

Folsom City Manager Elaine Andersen announced today Lorraine Poggione has been selected as the Folsom Parks & Recreation Director effective October 16.

The City of Folsom will host an open house to discuss a proposal from Sacramento Regional Transit to transfer Folsom’s transit services into Regional Transit. The open house will take place on October 10 from 3 to 6:30 p.m. in the Senior and Arts Center, located at 48 Natoma Street.

A public workshop will be held to provide a forum for the community to share concerns about parking in the residential area of the Historic District. The public workshop will be held at the Folsom City Council meeting Tuesday, October 23, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 50 Natoma Street, Folsom.
