Post Date:08/25/2025 10:49 a.m.On August 24, 2025, at 11:11 p.m., firefighters from the Folsom Fire Department, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, South Placer Fire District, Folsom Prison Fire Department and the El Dorado Hills Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire on Rebecca Way in Folsom. Upon arrival, the first fire engine reported a single-story home, fully involved with fire. The size of the fire had grown quickly due to a heavy fuel load and had already begun to impinge onto an adjacent home. The two fires were contained after 50 minutes of suppression efforts. Both homes were destroyed and left uninhabitable. The Folsom Fire Department would like to remind the community to ensure they have working smoke detectors in the home as well as an escape plan for all members of the family.
