Looking for unique ways to explore nature close to home? The “Get Outdoors” section of the Folsom Parks & Recreation Activity Guide offers opportunities to learn, discover, and connect with the natural world. The Natural Science Program will feature a fascinating presentation this fall.

For nearly a decade, Kathy Kayner has served as the Lead Volunteer monitoring the Bald Eagle nest along Lake Natoma for California State Parks, and now she invites the community to join her for “Another Year, Another Eagle Family at Lake Natoma.” Through captivating stories and photos, Kathy will share the challenges of raising eaglets high atop a gray pine in an urban setting, from nest-building to fishing trips to fledging, each season telling a new story she has witnessed firsthand. 

This special program takes place on Tuesday, September 23 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Robert H. Miller III Rotary Clubhouse, 7150 Baldwin Dam Road. Ages 10 and up are welcome; the fee is $7, and pre-registration is required. Register today!
