The City of Folsom is proposing to adopt a set of Objective Development and Design Standards for multifamily and residential mixed-use development in targeted areas of the city.

State law requires cities and counties to use objective development and design standards when reviewing apartments, condominiums, townhomes, and other multifamily and residential mixed-use projects. These standards aim to guide the physical form and character of new development, ensuring compatibility with the community’s character while enhancing walkability and human-scale urban design.

The Folsom Planning Commission will consider the standards at its meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, in the City Council Chambers, 50 Natoma Street.
