This October marks 20 years since light rail service began in Folsom. On October 15, 2005, SacRT extended the Gold Line east from Sunrise Station, providing Folsom residents with a direct connection to Sacramento and beyond.

Over the past two decades, light rail has become an important link for Folsom residents traveling to jobs, schools, shopping, and events throughout the region.

To thank riders, SacRT will host a Rider Appreciation Pop-Up from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, at Iron Point Station. Stop by for a commemorative 20-year sticker and to meet the SacRT team.
