The 2025 Folsom Turkey Trot is set for Thanksgiving morning and will include a 10K run and a 5K run and walk. The event will require temporary road closures and traffic controls throughout the Historic Folsom area and Natoma Street on Thursday, November 27. This year’s Turkey Trot supports Twin Lakes Food Bank, the Folsom Athletic Association’s Never in Our Town Youth Scholarship Program, and several local nonprofit beneficiaries selected through the event’s giving program.
The 10K begins at 8:50 a.m. and the 5K begins at 9:10 a.m. Both races start at Folsom Lion’s Park at 403 Stafford Street, near the Folsom Public Library and the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary. The courses use city trails, bridges, and roadways, including portions of Natoma, Sutter, Reading, and Leidesdorff streets.
Drivers should expect both full and rolling closures in and around the course area Thanksgiving morning. Folsom Police officers and course monitors will help manage traffic, and detour signs will be posted.
