For nearly 30 years, Castle Park has been a place for imagination, play, and community connection. Built by volunteers in 1996, it has always been a park created by the community, for the community.

After decades of use, the original wooden play structures are ready for retirement. Folsom Parks & Recreation will replace the play structures while honoring the park’s original footprint and beloved spirit. Once again, the community will play a key role in bringing Castle Park’s next chapter to life.

Volunteers of all skill levels are invited to take part in the Castle Park Community Build and help create a space that will inspire future generations. No construction experience is required, as there are a variety of ways to get involved, from hands-on building to supporting the team behind the scenes. 

The Community Build will take place April 7–12. Please note that the build will take place during the Folsom Cordova Unified School District spring break, so volunteers should plan accordingly. Volunteers must be 10 years of age or older, and those ages 10–13 must participate alongside a parent or guardian.
