City of Folsom Invites Public to Review 2025 Urban Water Management Plan

Post Date:04/23/2026 8:55 a.m.

The City of Folsom will release the public draft of its 2025 Urban Water Management Plan on April 27, and the public is encouraged to review the plan.

A public meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 6 p.m. at Folsom City Hall in the City Council Chambers, located at 50 Natoma Street in Folsom. Community members are encouraged to attend and share their input. The plan will also be available for review online. The Urban Water Management Plan will also be discussed during a public hearing at the Folsom City Council meeting on June 9. Both meetings are open to the public.

Prepared every five years, the Urban Water Management Plan is a state-mandated planning document required for California urban water agencies serving more than 3,000 customers or delivering more than 3,000 acre-feet of water annually. The plan evaluates current and future water supplies, projected demand, and strategies to ensure a reliable water supply.

Public input is a critical part of the process and helps ensure the plan reflects community priorities. The draft plan will be posted online. For questions or additional information, contact Marcus Yasutake at 916-461-6161 or myasutake@folsom.ca.us.
