Folsom Celebrates Earth Day

Post Date:04/23/2026 8:59 a.m.

Earth Day is a time to reflect on the importance of protecting the environment and caring for the natural spaces that define the community. In Folsom, those values are evident year-round in the trails, waterways, and open spaces that residents enjoy every day.

This year, 115 volunteers dedicated their time to projects across the city, helping care for the spaces our community enjoys every day.

Volunteers planted trees at Granite Mini Park, supported animal care and habitat maintenance at the Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary, cleaned up areas along the Southeast Connector, and removed fire fuel along the Humbug–Willow Creek Trail. These efforts contribute directly to a cleaner, safer, and more resilient Folsom. The City of Folsom extends its thanks to volunteers who participated.
