Residents may notice fire department activity on Tuesday, May 5 near 395 Hana Way, as crews conduct a planned training exercise as part of a community event introducing the future Chabad Jewish Community Center (CJCC) site.
As part of the event, the property is being used for a controlled fire department training, demonstrating an early partnership that supports public safety while activating the site ahead of redevelopment. The training will take place in the late afternoon and may include visible smoke and emergency vehicles. This is a scheduled exercise and not an emergency. Additional training exercises will continue at the site over the next two weeks.
The CJCC project is being introduced as a future multi-use community hub focused on connection, education, and community engagement. The event is expected to attract attendees, and temporary congestion in the area is possible.
