Mental Health Awareness Month: Supporting the Community with Soluna

Post Date:05/08/2026 3:04 p.m.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, new services are expanding access to mental health support for young people in the community.

Through the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) Children and Youth Behavioral Health Initiative, the state funded Soluna, a "digital front door" to mental health support. This digital platform provides safe, comprehensive care to youth and young adults (ages 13–25) without any cost to the user or their family.

By removing traditional barriers such as insurance referrals and waitlists, Soluna provides an immediate entry point to care. The platform offers 1:1 bilingual coaching, moderated peer forums, self-guided wellbeing activities, and more to support young people in ways that feel tailored to their specific needs.

Mental health needs can change from moment to moment. Soluna addresses this by offering a safe environment where young people can access professional, peer, and personal support on their own terms.
