Folsom Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Folsom Auburn Trail Riders Action Coalition (FATRAC), invites the community to celebrate the official grand reopening of the Folsom Bike Park on Saturday, May 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Following a full professional redesign, the park has been transformed into a premier regional destination for riders of all ages and skill levels. World-renowned trail builders Randy Spangler and Greg Watts led the redesign, creating a progressive riding experience for first-time riders to advanced athletes.
The grand reopening event will feature a lineup of activities for the whole community, including professional rider demos, a high-energy jump jam, bike safety checks, a community raffle with prizes from local partners, and family-friendly fun throughout the day.
This milestone shows the impact of community support, with more than $31,000 raised to help rebuild and sustain the park for the future. As the park reopens, that support will continue through volunteer days hosted by FATRAC to help maintain the trails and keep the park in great shape.
The Folsom Bike Park is open daily from dawn to 9 p.m. Riders are reminded that the park is for non-motorized bicycles only. Helmets are required, and the park remains closed during wet conditions to protect the riding surfaces.
