As temperatures rise and more people head to Folsom Lake, Lake Natoma, and the American River, the Folsom Fire Department reminds the community to stay safe.
- Always wear a properly fitted life jacket.
- Check water conditions and weather before heading out.
- Swim with a buddy—never alone.
- Steer clear of boat traffic and unknown depths.
- Avoid alcohol while in or near the water.
- Learn CPR. It could save a life.
- Plan ahead, and stay alert to help prevent accidents.
