- Check water conditions and weather before heading out.
- Swim with a buddy—never alone.
- Steer clear of boat traffic and unknown depths.
- Avoid alcohol while in or near the water.
- Learn CPR. It could save a life.
- Plan ahead, and stay alert to help prevent accidents.
