Looking for a fun family activity this Memorial Day? The Folsom City Zoo Sanctuary will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (last admission at 2:30 p.m.).
The zoo sanctuary is home to dozens of rescued wild and domestic animals, including bears, wolf-hybrids, monkeys, birds, raptors, cougars, reptiles, and more. Visitors can stroll scenic pathways through the wooded sanctuary while learning the unique stories behind each animal resident. While visiting, guests can also enjoy a ride on the Folsom Valley Railway located in Folsom City Lions Park.
Summer zoo hours are now in effect, with the zoo sanctuary open Thursdays through Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is $10 for guests ages 2 and older, while children under 2 are free. Tickets are available online in advance or at the gate. Plan a visit at www.folsom.ca.us/zoo.
