The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge is underway at the Folsom Public Library. Participants can sign up to read or listen to five books in June and July. Kids and teens who complete the challenge receive a free book, a book bag, and entry into a drawing for a $100 gift card. Adults who complete the challenge receive a book bag and entry into the drawing.

Challenge participants can pick up a bingo-style game card at the Library or track summer reading through the Library’s Beanstack Tracker app. The app allows readers to track reading by scanning ISBNs, timing reading sessions, or keeping records of current and past books completed. The Folsom Public Library offers summer activities and events for kids, including daily story times, weekly crafts, LEGO programs, and weekly family movie matinees.
