Due to an error in the delivery schedule, a printed City of Folsom newsletter arrived earlier than expected and incorrectly indicates Castle Park is already open. Castle Park remains closed while final preparations are completed.

The park is scheduled to reopen Tuesday, June 30, with a grand reopening celebration at 10 a.m. at 201 Prewett Drive. The city appreciates the community’s patience and looks forward to welcoming families back to the playground at the grand reopening event.

The celebration marks the completion of the Castle Park renovation and will recognize the volunteers, donors, community partners, and supporters who helped bring this treasured destination back to life.

Originally built through a community volunteer effort more than 30 years ago, Castle Park has served as a gathering place for generations of Folsom families. The renovated playground honors that legacy while creating new opportunities for play, exploration, and adventure.
