FOLSOM, CA On the afternoon of August 5, 2026, at approximately 4:50 PM, the Folsom Fire Department responded to reports of a water rescue incident near Rainbow Bridge at 9920 Greenback Lane.

First arriving units received reports of an injured individual on the rocks along the north side of the river after jumping from Rainbow Bridge. Fire department personnel, including Engine 36, Battalion Chief 15, Boat 35, and Medic 35, coordinated rescue efforts to access and safely extricate the victim.

Boat 35 transported the patient across the water to Black Miners Bar boat launcy, where patient care was transferred to Medic 35 crews at approximately 5:15 PM. The patient was transported to a local hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment.

All responding fire units cleared the scene safely shortly thereafter.
