The City of Folsom has launched Paving the Way, a roadway program that highlights pavement preservation, roadway improvements, and transportation investments across the community.
The 2026 Pavement Resurfacing Project is now underway in the Willow Creek area, including portions of Glenn, Coolidge, Parkshore, Plaza, and Natoma Station drives, along with Empire Ranch Road and nearby residential streets and school zones. Work includes crack sealing, slurry seal, asphalt repair, sidewalk and curb ramp repairs, accessibility upgrades, fresh striping, high-visibility crosswalks, and buffered bike lanes on Empire Ranch Road and Glenn Drive.
Drivers should expect temporary lane closures, reduced speeds, short delays, parking restrictions, and advance notices during construction. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained whenever possible.
The city maintains about 256 miles of roadway, with approximately 84% rated good or very good. Paving the Way also tracks upcoming neighborhood resurfacing, corridor rehabilitation, and larger capital improvement projects throughout Folsom. The work is funded by Measure A and Senate Bill 1, allowing the city to invest in road improvements without using General Fund dollars.
