Engineering team studying plansThank you for your interest in doing business with the City of Folsom! The City purchases and contracts for a wide variety of supplies, services, equipment, and expert assistance to provide our community with a full range of municipal services and programs.

Folsom Wants to Do Business with Local Companies and Vendors

The success of local businesses and vendors positively impacts Folsom’s economy as a whole, as well as the City’s ability to provide quality services and programs. The City strives to use Folsom vendors in purchasing services, and products when quality, service, and other factors are equal. The Folsom Municipal Code provides for a five percent price differential to local bidders in contracting.

RFQ: Landscaping and Lighting District Financial, Engineering, and Consultant Services

The City of Folsom (City) is requesting qualifications from firms interested in providing financial and assessment engineering services, as well as consulting, public outreach, document preparation, and presentation services for Landscaping and Lighting Districts (Districts) within the City.

The initial scope of work anticipated involves pre-Proposition 218 Districts that are currently underfunded, as assessments have not been increased since the passage of Proposition 218 in 1996. Future scopes of work may involve broader assessment engineering and related services for one or more of the 30 Landscaping and Lighting Districts in the City.

It is anticipated that this will be an on-call contract with individual projects moving forward after issuance of a notice to proceed by the City. On-call contracts may be awarded to multiple firms. The City intends to contract with the most qualified firm(s) to provide timely, accurate, and cost-effective services.
