Bryan Whitemyer was appointed as Folsom’s City Manager in January 2025 following a unanimous vote of the Folsom City Council. He brings more than 23 years of municipal government experience, including 14 years as a City Manager.

Before joining Folsom, Whitemyer served as City Manager of Oakdale since 2013. During his tenure, he led efforts to strengthen the city’s financial stability, enhance public safety operations, construct critical infrastructure, and invest in downtown improvements.

Whitemyer holds a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Stanislaus. He lives in Folsom with his family.
