Lori Easterwood joined the City of Folsom in July 2016, with more than nine years of public library experience, and directs the much loved and well used Folsom Public Library.
In 2015, she received national recognition when named one of Library Journal’s Movers and Shakers for her work providing innovative library programming. Lori previously worked as the Programming and Partnerships Coordinator for the Sacramento Public Library where she created the Library of Things, an innovative service that allows patrons to checkout household items such as sewing machines, musical instruments and board games.
She holds a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts and a M.A. in American Literature from Keele Universtiy, UK. Lori’s love of reading combined with a desire to serve the public inspired her to be a librarian.
Lori’s favorite books include Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Persuasion by Jane Austen, along with many less highbrow titles.
