Park Description

Hazel McFarland Park’s multiple ball diamonds, soccer fields, and playgrounds are hosts to countless youth sports games and activities. Empire Oaks Elementary School and many homes border the park, and its lively energy and friendly demeanor attract neighbors and visitors alike.

Soon to be constructed immediately adjacent is an additional 4.5+/- acres of park on the former Broder Ranch property as part of the Harvest subdivision.  Officially named the Broder Family Homestead Park it will feature interpretation and celebration of Native American and early pioneer life in the Folsom area. The agricultural themed design includes a children’s play area, heritage olive grove, vineyard and orchard style plantings, Natoma Ditch canal interpretation, raised bed gardening and picnicking.
