City of Folsom – 2026 Proclamation Guidelines

In 2026, Mayor Justin Raithel will consider issuing proclamations that fall into one of the following two categories:

  1. Significant achievements or milestones – Recognizing individuals, organizations, or businesses for accomplishments that have a meaningful and positive impact on the Folsom community.
  2. City-affiliated events – Including City-sponsored events, initiatives led by City departments, or community activities that are supported by the City of Folsom.

The City of Folsom is committed to ensuring that ceremonial proclamations reflect matters of local importance and contribute to the civic pride and well-being of the community. Proclamations are intended to highlight accomplishments and events that are directly connected to Folsom and its residents.

Requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance to allow adequate time for review and processing. To request a proclamation, please email the City Clerk’s Department at CityClerkDept@folsom.ca.us with a description of the request, including the name of the individual or organization being recognized, the proposed wording, and how the request meets the Mayor's proclamation criteria.  Each request will be carefully considered, and requestors will be notified of the approval or denial of their request.  

All requests are subject to approval at the discretion of the Mayor and may be edited for content and consistency with City practices.
