The general objective of this project is the continued proactive maintenance of the city’s wastewater collection system assets through a System-wide Hydraulic Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan (SECAP) Update and associated hydraulic model update.

2017 System-wide Hydraulic Evaluation and Capacity Assurance Plan Update

This document represents the findings and recommendations of the 2016 update to the City of Folsom’s Water Master Plan (WMP). The city recently expanded its service area to allow for future development projects in the areas south of Highway 50. The 2016 WMP Update incorporates the city’s recent planning efforts for the areas south of Highway 50 into one Master Plan document. This effort was also completed in parallel to and in conjunction with the city’s 2015 Urban Water Management Plan Update.

2016 Water Master Plan Update

The Urban Water Management Plan allows the city to assess and plan for ongoing effective management of its water supplies to meet its evolving water demands.

The city submitted its 2010 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) to the California Department of Water Resources as an update to the 2005 UWMP, adopted March 28, 2006. This update documents the City’s water management plans through the year 2035.

2010 Urban Water Management Plan

The purpose of the Urban Water Management Plan is to document the City’s water supply planning strategies for the existing municipal jurisdiction. The Urban Water Management Plan, as required by the Urban Water Management Act and the Water Conservation Bill of 2009, contains an assessment of current and projected supplies, an evaluation of the reliability of these supplies given a range of hydrologic conditions, an assessment of demands by customer type, and an explanation of water management strategies designed to integrate supply and demand conditions.

Errata

The Water Shortage Contingency Plan is a detailed plan for how the City intends to identify and respond to foreseeable and unforeseeable water shortages. A water shortage occurs when the supply is reduced to a level that cannot support the normal demand at any given time or if the state mandates a cutback regardless of supplies.
