Rec Swim
The Aquatic Center’s summer rec season runs from May 23 through September 7.
Guests can enjoy all the great amenities: the interactive play structure, two-story water slide, diving boards, three pools, and the giant inflatable obstacle courses (requires a $5 wristband). The trained lifeguarding staff are always on duty during recreation swim.
Summer Rec Swim Hours: May 29–September 7
- Saturday & Sunday: 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.
With local schools back in session, weekday Recreation Swim will operate on a limited schedule. From 1:00–5:00 p.m., the Activity Pool and Instructional Pool may be available, pending daily staffing levels.
Lap Swim
We offer our lap swim fitness exercise program year-round. Participants use the full length of the lane to complete down-and-back laps. Our lap swim program is for ages 16+; admission is by drop-in daily rate or with one of our pass options. Lap swim is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
We invite young swimmers to join our Sea Squad swim lesson program. Our experienced instructors help children develop water confidence and skills in a fun and supportive environment. The Steve Miklos Aquatic Center is also the practice location for the Sierra Marlins year-round swim team and the Folsom Sea Otters seasonal swim team. Learn more about the swim team programs.

Summer Lap Swim Hours: May 29–September 7
- Monday–Saturday: 10:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
- Monday–Sunday: 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.*
- Monday–Thursday: 6:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m.
*From August 13 through September 4, Lap Swim availability Monday through Thursday from 1:00–5:00 p.m. will be determined daily based on facility operations and staffing and is not guaranteed. Patrons should call 916-461-6640 before visiting to confirm same-day Lap Swim availability. Lap swim will not be offered from 10:30 a.m–12:30 p.m. on 9/7.
