The City of Folsom is accepting applications for the Folsom Public Safety Citizens’ Academy, a program designed to educate the community about various aspects of Folsom’s public safety agencies. Police and fire personnel will cover topics ranging from crime scene investigations and K9 demonstrations to fire response and emergency services. The 11-week Academy begins March 11. Meetings will be held every Wednesday at 6 p.m. The Citizens’ Academy is also a required training program for the Citizens Assisting Public Safety Volunteer Program, also known as CAPS.
