Creek Week is an annual celebration of Folsom’s creeks, trails and open spaces, with community volunteers joining forces with the City to take care of Folsom’s treasured resources. Lend a hand at one of two planned events on April 18:
Trails Day Project: Join the City of Folsom for the 2015 Trails Day celebration at the Johnny Cash Trail. Staff and volunteers will be working on some needed trail improvements, planting native trees and installing irrigation along the new trail.
Creek Week Project: Volunteers are needed to clean up portions of Humbug and Willow creeks as part of the Regional Creek Week activities sponsored by the Sacramento Area Creeks Council. Volunteers will also pick up litter along open space areas throughout the City.
Come out and meet your neighbors and help clean the environment. A free Trails Day T-shirt and barbeque lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Call 355-7285 to register for Trails Day. Call 454-4544 or visit creekweek.net to register for the Creek Week project.
